My Favourite Albums of 2025
We might have left 2025 behind but the music released last year will be sticking with me! Here’s my annual dose of albums I’ve had on heavy rotation throughout last year (in no particular order).
1. All Time Low – Everyone’s Talking
I’ve loved All Time Low for a long time but this album has been listened to a lot…before it was even released Suckerpunch and Weather were repeatedly stuck in my head. This album is pure pop-punk…it’s catchy, upbeat and fun! (Can’t wait to see them live later this month)
2. Ashley Cooke – Ace
Ashley Cooke has fast become one of my favourite country artists since discovering her when Colbie Caillat appeared on one her her songs a couple of years ago and ‘ace’ is a great album/long EP. Ashley has a great way of telling stories in her songs with lyrics that just draw you in…and very catchy tunes to match.
3. Taylor Acorn – Poster Child
Whilst I’ve generally found that less music has been on heavy rotation this year the music that has captivated me has been on repeat and constantly stuck in my head. Taylor Acorn’s new album was a great example of this…it’s simple pop-punk (on the pop-side-of-pop-punk) but just a lot of fun…and very catchy (Taylor Acorn is now opening up for All Time Low later this month too!)
4. Jordan Davis – Learn the Hard Way
I got into Jordan Davis with his previous album and every single pre-released off ‘Learn the Hard Way’ was fantastic so I couldn’t wait for the whole album and it didn’t let me down. It’s a fantastic modern country record.
5. Girlfriends – There Goes The Neighbourhood
There’s been a pop-punk theme this year of ‘if ain’t broke then don’t fix it’ and Girlfriends didn’t change the recipe for their latest album, much like their two previous records it’s punchy, catchy and produced by the legend that is John Feldmann.
6. Architects – The Sky, the Earth & All Between
The heaviest album that’s been on heavy rotation and they were just as good as support for Linkin Park in Frankfurt back in June. This album has a great blend of heavy guitars and vocals with plenty of melody thrown in.
